ITANAGAR, Jun 17: Inspector general of the Indo Tibetan Border Police (NE Frontier) RK Saini called on Governor Nirbhay Sharma at Raj Bhawan here today and briefed him on the activities taken up by the ITBP in the state. The governor exhorted the ITBP officers to ensure effective vigil on the border and to maintain optimum operational efficiency of the troops. He also advised them to maintain effective liaison with the locals besides actively coordinating with the district administrations and other security forces. Secretary Sachin Shinde and ITBP DIG Ajay Pal Singh were also present at the meeting. (PRO)
