The political parties in Bihar have asked for the postpone the assembly election in the state thanks to Covid-19 and floods, documented Hindustan Times’ sister publication Hindustan. According to Hindustan, the Election Commission had asked for recommendations from political events in Bihar about keeping elections in the condition in the wake of the present scenario. These political events (seven national and 43 regional) have replied to the poll panel till its scheduled deadline of July 31. The Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have already sought the postponement of polls. The BJP and JD(U) have, meanwhile, reported that they are organized and have still left it on the Election Fee to decide.
Bihar is envisioned to witness the elections in October-November, according to Hindustan. Most of the political events have not even started out election-similar function, except BJP and JD(U).
