The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet has allowed the reopening of February 1 to 5 and 8 to 12 class students. Students in the same classes at schools closing for the winter will be allowed to attend regular classes from February 15. Winter vacation.
Students will be allowed to join the regular school only after strict compliance with the Govt SOPs, and school staff have been instructed to ensure the use of masks, social exclusion and sanitizers on school premises, after the official spokesman cabinet meeting. The online system for education will continue under the Hargarh Patshala scheme, the spokesperson added, adding that a similar system could be followed by private schools in the state. ITIs, polytechnics and engineering colleges will also be allowed to reopen from February 1, while medical colleges were allowed to reopen last month. All remaining government colleges will be allowed to open for regular classes from February 8 after the winter break.
Schools and colleges were initially allowed to reopen during the Govt epidemics in early November, but were ordered to close a few days later following a sudden increase in epidemics in the state.
Other cabinet decisions
Four makeshift hospitals have recently been built in Shimla, Nalagarh, Danta and Nerchuk to accommodate the growing number of Govt patients. With the sharp decline in cases, the cabinet has now allowed them to be used as non-Govt wards. The Cabinet has declared the Regional Hospital in Dharamshala and the DTU Hospital in Shimla as non-Govt hospitals.
The cabinet also decided to allow women to set up help desks at district police offices and police stations. It approved the purchase of a scooter / scooter with helmets and desktop computers to strengthen the desks held by women.
