In Chandigarh, 43 new cases and two deaths have been reported

In Chandigarh, 43 new Govt-19 cases were registered on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 20,147.

Both are infected with the virus, bringing the total death toll to 325.

There are 240 active cases in UT, and 57 were released on Thursday.

So far 1,89,318 tests have been conducted.

The 38-year-old Kovit positive man, a resident of Kuda Lahore, has a case of severe respiratory disorder and severe kidney failure that has expired at PGIMR.

A 67-year-old man living in Division 63 with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure has died at Fortis Hospital in Mohali.

According to the latest data available, 17,052 out of every 10 lakh people in Chandigarh have been tested positive for the virus.

The active rate is 1.3 percent, with 1 currently being affected for every 100 cases confirmed.

The case death rate was 1.6 percent. 1,59,370 samples were tested for every 10 lakh in Chandigarh. The average growth rate is 0.3 percent, and over the past week, the number of new infections has increased by an average of 0.3 percent each day.

The recovery rate is 97.1 percent. For every 100 cases confirmed, 97 people have recovered from the virus.

The dry run for the Govt 19 vaccine will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Civil Hospital at GMCH-32 and Section 45 as per government guidelines.
