Agency France-Presse (AFP) learned from hospital services on Tuesday, December 21, that two union representatives who rallied against vaccine duty in Martinique had died as a result of Govt-19.
Alain DeGail, president of Martinique’s Federation of Independent Taxis, died at the age of 61 on Monday. Since September, he has organized several snail operations on the island in protest of the vaccination duty imposed on his company. After suffering from Kovit-19 disease, he was admitted to the hospital for three weeks and was treated in intensive care, Martinique University Hospital said.
Aimé Agat, leader of the union for the protection of Martinique artists, died Monday, at the age of 48, after being admitted to hospital in intensive care, according to hospital services.
“We took the maximum precautionary measures”
According to union sources, they were injured during a meeting with the provincial council. The two trade unionists joined the union between the unions, which had called for a general strike on November 22, 2021, to mark its opposition to vaccine duty and health permits.
The dams were built on the island for ten days, setting up workshops on seven different themes and once a contract was signed with state officials. It was only after one of these work meetings that many, including members of the union and prefect Stanislas Castells, were positively announced.
“Unfortunately, I’m an example of someone who has been vaccinated and is still suffering from goiter. But that explains the safety of the vaccine, which means I had very few symptoms for two days and nothing more., Ten days after his isolation, during his first visit to an interim vaccination center, he underlined.
“Actually, many members of Intercindile had it. To me, I understand.”, Olivier Labastide, president of the Martinique Taxis Federation, told AFP that several union representatives, without naming their vaccine status, confirmed that they were infected with the virus anonymously.
“Was there any audacity? I do not think so. We took the maximum precautionary measures, the restraint measures were respected, the distance we respected, the politician kept it while focusing on the restraint measures., Olivier Labastide continued.
